Process Engineer

Johns Manville is currently looking to hire a Process Engineer. The Process Engineer has the responsibility for directing and conducting tasks and/or projects to maintain or improve production processes and process control.
The Waterville plant located just outside of Toledo, Ohio manufactures direct melt products including wet chop glass fibers primarily for specialty applications, glass reinforcements for gypsum wall boards, direct dry chop for plastic reinforcements, single end roving for weavers and plastic reinforcements, glass mat and some specialty products.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate, monitor and complete project assignments in process improvement and process control.
Audit production operations to ensure that process settings are as per standard operating procedures.
Investigate deviations so that appropriate corrective actions can be taken.
Work with the Innovation and Commercialization organization for all new product development initiatives including design of experiment techniques.
Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) for assigned production operation(s) and/or processes.
Develop action plans for critical process variables in order to meet critical product characteristics.
Be familiar with new processes, process equipment, process control equipment and inspection and test methods.
Identify opportunities and recommend modifications to systems and procedures that will improve process control, quality, costs and safety.
Advise and influence plant management on modifications to existing equipment that will improve the overall process efficiency without sacrificing product characteristics.
Investigate quality complaints for root cause of the problem and develop/implement corrective action plan to eliminate the root cause.
Help coordinate Production and Maintenance activities, such as department shutdowns.
Work with Maintenance to allow for and establish improved preventive maintenance programs.
Ensure that all safety, environmental and plant procedures are followed.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should have 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Hold a B.S. Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Knowledge and/or 1 to 2 years of experience working with controls systems.
Familiar with new processes, process equipment, process control equipment and inspection and test methods.
Proven leadership skills.
Must have good critical process thinking skills. Understanding of Lean Principles.
Solid computer skills including excel, power point, Microsoft project and Minitab (or other statistical analysis software)
Must have high level organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
