Complex Finance Manager

Opportunity Overview Johns Manville (JM) is currently seeking candidates for the position of Complex Finance Manager to be located in Waterville, OH. This location, consisting of multiple operating processes, plays a critical role in executing JM's Engineered Products Group strategy. The Complex Finance Manager is the most senior financial leader at the plant site and a key member of the site leadership team as well as the division finance team. This position offers the high visibility within Johns Manville due to the magnitude & strategic importance of this site. This position requires the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial and operational data, lead efforts to identify cost reduction and productivity recommendations and partner with the plant leadership team to drive focus & ownership of cost and productivity efforts. The Complex Finance Manager must also have the interpersonal skills and leadership abilities to successfully lead a team and collaborate with others to implement recommendations and drive change initiatives. This position reports directly to the Division Operations Finance Manager, with an indirect reporting responsibility to the Complex Plant Manager. Applicants can expect to make between $104,000 to $130,000 upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for a target incentive bonus under our variable incentive plan. Your Day to Day:
Ensure that the financial records of the Waterville, OH plants (2 plant operations located a few miles apart) accurately reflect business performance and that financial controls are implemented and complied with. Managing the closing, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the plants, ensuring inventory accuracy on plant sites and at off-site warehouse locations. Accurate and timely monthly closing and reporting of financial results to plant managers, staffs, and division personnel Meaningful analysis of ongoing and monthly operating results quantifying sources of variability, inflation, productivity & unusual items etc. Identify appropriate performance-based metrics; drive ownership & organizational discipline to monitor & proactively optimize financial performance - act as partner to the plant manager to drive cost & productivity initiatives Maintenance of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements Financial evaluation of capital spending projects Manage and develop plant financial personnel (2 direct reports). What You Bring to the Team:
4-year degree (preferably in Accounting or Finance) 5-10 years overall finance experience 3
years financial leadership experience Previous operations financial experience a must Strong knowledge of manufacturing/plant level accounting systems including cost accounting, inventory, general ledger balance sheet, etc. Proven ability to drive cost reduction and productivity initiatives Process mentality - Improve, build, and lead processes & effectively enlist others' participation in change initiatives. Proficient in the development and use of performance-based metrics, scorecards etc. Strong people development skills - proven ability to develop financial talent, & optimize performance Demonstrated analytical abilities Strong decision making and problem resolution skills Experience with SAP (FI/CO) preferred Benefits Johns Manville (JM) offers a wide range of benefits to employees. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
